The Friends of St Marcellin’s Children aim to ensure that all donations go 100% to benefit the children directly with the exception of bank charges. To this extent all trustees work voluntarily and no donations are used for routine administrative issues. Close relations are kept between the trustees and the directors of St Marcellin’s Children’s Village and decisions are made together on what needs can be met by the Friends of St Marcellin’s Children.
Funds transferred to Zimbabwe must be spent in line with the Friends of St Marcellin’s Children’s agreed priorities and objectives i.e. providing the children with healthcare, education, nutrition and psychosocial well being. Trustees make field visits to see how funds have been spent and what needs are outstanding. All trustee visits are paid personally by the trustee.
Friends of St Marcellin’s Children is registered with the HMRC as a charitable company for tax purposes since August 2010. All donations received from UK tax payers are therefore eligible for the Gift Aid scheme provided the Gift Aid declaration form is completed by the donor.

There are many ways you can help the children of St Marcellin’s. You can volunteer time or skills to help us with fundraising events, or make a one off or regular donation. At this time donations are particularly required for setting up the new primary school (desks and chairs, books and life skills workshops), and to pay for teaching staff.
Alternatively, sign up to our email list. We will not share your personal data with any one else. See our privacy policy for more information.
All donations (with the exception of bank transfer charges) go 100% to the children’s village to support the children.
